Marcel Reux

Dr. Marcel Reux graduated from the Memorial University of Newfoundland with a Bachelor of Science Degree in 1977. In 1980, he graduated from the University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Therapy. After two years on staff at St. Michael’s Hospital and the Worker’s Compensation Board Hospital he returned to school to study Chiropractic at The Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto. He graduated in 1986 with a Doctor of Chiropractic Degree.
Dr. Reux opened Davisville Yonge Clinics in 1986 with Dr. Ricciardi at 1849 Yonge Street (Medical Dental Building). In 1988, Dr. Russell joined the practice and in 2008 they relocated the clinic to 124 Merton Street.
In 1991 Dr. Reux joined the faculty of the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College as an instructor in the Clinical Diagnosis Division and continues teaching to date.
In 1994 he joined the Orthopaedic and Arthritic Hospital Designated Assessment Centre as a chiropractic consultant. He has been performing independent physiotherapy and chiropractic examinations for the auto insurance industry.
Dr. Reux is a member of the Ontario and Canadian Chiropractic Association and a member in good standing of the College of Chiropractors of Ontario. He is also a member of the Ontario and Canadian Physiotherapy Association and a member in good standing of the College of Physiotherapist of Ontario. He has been featured on Radio Canada and TV Ontario. He is a long distance cyclist and runner.

Margaret Russell grew up in Midhurst, Ontario, a farming community near Barrie. She made her way to the big city for university, completing her Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy at the University of Toronto. After four years of hospital-based work experience she returned to school to complete a Doctor of Chiropractic at The Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College. She also went on to complete a fellowship with the Royal College Chiropractic Sports Sciences (Canada).
She has extensive clinical experience over the past 30 years, joining Davisville Yonge Clinic’s private practice in 1988. As a partner of the clinic she has continued to evolve her practice treating clients/patients with many conditions. Margaret is well established within the healthcare community and can easily tap into her network to provide referrals to specialists when required. She treats acute conditions with the goal of recovery (or management) and believes patients should take an active approach in their therapy to achieve the optimal benefits.
Margaret continues to take many post-graduate courses to keep current with developing trends within rehabilitation, including osteoporosis, fall prevention, arthritis, sports injuries, vestibular rehabilitation and foot orthotics/conservative foot care.
Jan Carstoniu, MD FRCPC
Prior to earning his medical degree, Jan Carstoniu MD FRCPC was a licensed psychologist in the province of Québec. Psychology training combined with his medical specialty in anesthesiology led to the opening of a practice in the management of chronic pain in 1993. He had also pursued training in Chinese health and defense methods and in 1978 became a certified instructor of Yang style Taijiquan (Tai Chi). In 1996 he began studying the art of Jiulong Baguazhang and became a certified instructor in 2006. His medical practice now focuses primarily on the non-pharmacological management of chronic pain, combining modern medicine with traditional exercises.
Cory Lyver
Registered Massage Therapist
Cory is a graduate of Everest College in Windsor, Ontario where he received a Diploma with honors in the Massage Therapy Program in 2011. He is registered with the College of Massage of Ontario.
He looks forward to learning something new everyday so he can better help his clients achieve their health goals.
He provides both relaxation and therapeutic treatments using a combination of deep tissue, myofascial and Swedish massage techniques. Cory treats a variety of conditions including, but not limited to, headaches, strains/sprains, carpal tunnel syndrome, tendonitis and other repetitive strain or overuse injuries.
Cory receives great satisfaction from knowing that every day he improves the quality of life of his clients and is proud to be part of the Davisville Yonge Clinics Team!
